This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, your rights, and how to contact us. It applies to our website (www.selfieboxireland.com) and related booking/payment flows.
Data we collect
- Booking details: name, email, phone, service chosen, event date/time, venue, notes.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe; we never store card numbers.
- Invoices/accounts: billing details needed for invoicing and tax.
- Support: messages you send us.
- Usage: basic logs/cookies for security and performance.
Purposes and legal bases
- Bookings & customer support – to perform a contract or take steps at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Payments via Stripe – to perform a contract and prevent fraud (Art. 6(1)(b), 6(1)(f)).
- Invoicing/accounting via Xero – to comply with tax/legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Marketing emails – with your consent; you can withdraw any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Security/diagnostics – our legitimate interests in running a safe site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Processors and recipients
- Website hosting: Weebly/Square.
- Payments: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and affiliates.
- Accounting: Xero.
- Email/Calendar: Google Workspace (where used).
Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Retention
- Bookings and invoices: kept for 6 years for tax/audit purposes.
- Emails and correspondence: retained indefinitely to maintain a record of communications. You can request deletion of personal emails at any time (except where retention is legally required).
- Marketing consents: stored until you withdraw.
- Server/security logs: up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Cookies
We use necessary cookies for security and function. Non-essential cookies run only with your consent via our cookie banner. You can change preferences at any time.
Children
Our services are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
